Service Description

Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin Yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer). This targets the connective tissues (such as the ligaments and even the joints) that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice, rather than focusing on the muscles.  As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.   Why practice Yin? To increase Flexibility and Range of Motion. Your experience, shape, size, gender, background, bendiness or lack thereof, are not barriers to beginning. You’ll discover a warm, welcoming and diverse community of like-minded enthusiasts eager to embrace the practice of yoga. Whether you’ve never seen yourself as the yoga type, are new to Yoga, or a seasoned yogi with years of practice behind you, Deborah's classes will keep you engaged, motivated, and inspired, and help you live large and purposefully.
